Rubicon Coaching
Taking you to the next level

To "cross the Rubicon" is an idiomatic expression that refers to making a crucial and irrevocable decision or taking a decisive action that commits someone to a particular course of action. It originated from a historical event when Julius Caesar, a Roman general, crossed the Rubicon River in 49 BC with his army, defying the Roman Senate's orders not to bring armed forces into Rome. This act marked the point of no return, as it initiated a civil war and ultimately led to Caesar's rise to power in ancient Rome. The phrase "crossing the Rubicon" for Rubicon Coaching means going where you haven't gone before and going to where you want to go without looking back.

If you're ready to be, do and have everything you want in business and life, Rubicon Coaching can help you.

My Journey from Scarcity to Abundance: A Personal Transformation

3/29/2024

Growing up, I was no stranger to the feelings of never having enough. Whether it was time, resources, or love, I always found myself in the grip of scarcity, constantly worried and never truly satisfied. This scarcity mindset shadowed much of my early life, influencing my choices, relationships, and my overall sense of well-being. However, my journey from scarcity to abundance has been transformative, teaching me lessons in gratitude, resilience, and the power of perspective. Here's a glimpse into my personal transformation.

The Grip of Scarcity
My life once revolved around the fear of running out and of not having enough to go around. This fear wasn't just about material things; it extended to time, opportunities, and even love. I saw life through a lens of limitation, which only bred more anxiety, jealousy, and dissatisfaction. It was a self-fulfilling prophecy: the more I focused on what I didn't have, the less I seemed to have.

A Shift in Perspective
The turning point came unexpectedly. I was introduced to the concept of the abundance mindset through a book a friend recommended. It promised a different view of life, one where love, success, and resources were not finite but plentiful. Skeptical but desperate for change, I decided to give this new perspective a try.

Embracing Gratitude

One of the first steps I took was practicing gratitude daily. Instead of lamenting what was missing, I began to acknowledge the abundance already present in my life. It started with small things: the warmth of the sun, a kind word from a friend, the comfort of my home. This simple shift had a profound effect. The more I focused on abundance, the more abundant my life seemed to become.

Learning to Give

Giving, I learned, was a powerful antidote to scarcity. I began volunteering, sharing knowledge, and offering my time to others without expecting anything in return. This practice reinforced my growing belief in abundance and taught me that generosity not only enriches others' lives but also brings immeasurable joy and fulfillment to the giver.

Surrounding Myself with Positivity

Changing my environment was crucial. I sought out friends and mentors who embodied the abundance mindset. Their positivity, resilience, and generosity were infectious, encouraging me to shed my scarcity-based fears and embrace life's endless possibilities.

Celebrating Growth and Success

Instead of fearing challenges, I started seeing them as opportunities for growth. Celebrating not only my own successes but also those of others became a source of joy and inspiration, reminding me that success and happiness are not limited resources.

My Life Now

Today, my life is vastly different. The anxiety and jealousy that once consumed me have given way to a deep sense of peace and contentment. I now view life's challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. I celebrate the success of others as fervently as my own, knowing that there is plenty of love, success, and happiness to go around.

The Journey Continues

My transition from scarcity to abundance hasn't been without its struggles, but the rewards have been immense and life-changing. This journey has taught me that the most significant limits we face are often the ones we impose on ourselves. By shifting our mindset, practicing gratitude, and focusing on abundance, we can transform not only our own lives but also positively impact those around us.

And keep in mind if you're living a life of scarcity, you're living a “zero-sum” game, if you're living a life of abundance, all things are possible.

What Do You Say or Give to Your Borrowers at Application About the Mortgage Loan Process?

3/21/2024

As a Mortgage Loan Originator, what do you say or use to help your borrower understand the process?  This week’s BLOG gives you some ideas of what you could say or give to your borrowers to insure a successful closing.  When I was an originator, I had a document that I asked the borrowers to sign at application to show they understood this process.  That signed document did save me once from a lawsuit from a homebuyer who did not follow my instructions and purchase a new truck 30 days prior to closing and no longer qualified.

I hope this information is useful to you and helps you to successfully close more loans and help more families.  Here is the document.  Feel free to use it verbatim or change as you see fit.

"Congratulations on submitting your residential mortgage loan application! Here's what you can expect moving forward, and how you can prepare for the next steps in this journey:

First off, it's crucial we stay in close communication. You might hear from me or someone from my team asking for additional documentation or information to support your application. Quick responses from your side will help keep everything moving smoothly. And, of course, if you have any questions or need clarification on anything, I'm here to help.

Now, about your finances: It's important to keep things stable during this process. That means avoiding any big purchases that could affect your debt-to-income ratio. Also, try not to apply for new credit cards or loans, as these can impact your credit score. Keeping your job situation steady is also key – lenders like to see stability in your employment history.

Let's talk about your credit:
It's a good time to check your credit report for any errors that might need correcting. Remember, maintaining good financial habits, like paying your bills on time, is crucial during this period.

Preparing for the appraisal and inspection is next if you are refinancing your current property.
The lender will arrange for an appraisal to assess the home’s value. Making sure your property looks its best can contribute to a favorable appraisal. While not always required, a home inspection is highly recommended to identify any potential issues with the property.

Understanding the waiting process:
Processing a mortgage application can take some time, and patience is key. You'll receive a Loan Estimate and, later on, a Closing Disclosure. These documents outline your loan terms and closing costs, so review them carefully.

Getting ready for closing:
You'll need to have your closing costs ready, unless we've made arrangements to include them in your loan. A final walkthrough of the property ensures everything is as expected. At closing, you'll review and sign several documents – it's important to understand what you're signing, so feel free to ask me any questions.

Lastly, keep all your documents related to the mortgage application and closing.
These could be important for future reference or tax purposes.
Every mortgage process is unique, and sometimes unexpected issues can come up. My role is to guide you through this process, keep you informed, and help you tackle any challenges that arise. Remember, I'm here to support you every step of the way."

I hope this dialogue provides a clear and friendly overview of what to expect and how to prepare after applying for a mortgage loan!

Today, I'm diving deep into something very close to my heart — the incredible journey of transformation that coaching can spark in our lives. If you've ever felt stuck, uncertain, or just curious about what more you could achieve, then you're in for a treat as we explore the myriad ways coaching can light up the path to your best self.
Boosting Confidence and Nurturing Relationships
Imagine waking up every day feeling like you can take on the world. That's the kind of self-confidence coaching can instill in you. It's not just about feeling good about yourself in isolation; this newfound confidence spills over into how you interact with others. Suddenly, you're building deeper, more meaningful connections. It's like discovering a superpower you always had but never fully utilized.
Finding Clarity in the Chaos
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to lose sight of what we truly want. Coaching has been my compass in the fog, helping me pinpoint my deepest desires and set my life's sails toward them. The clarity that comes from coaching isn't just about setting goals; it's about illuminating your passions and purpose, making every step forward feel intentional.
A Cradle for Creativity and Solutions
Ever felt like you're out of ideas or stuck in a rut? Coaching has been my secret weapon for breaking free from those blocks. It's amazing how a fresh perspective can unlock a wellspring of creativity and lead you to solutions that were hiding in plain sight. Coaching taught me to look at challenges as opportunities to innovate and grow.
Harmonizing Work, Life, and Productivity
Balancing the demands of work with the joys of life is an art — and coaching has been my guide to mastering it. Learning to manage my time effectively, set healthy boundaries, and prioritize what truly matters has not only skyrocketed my productivity but also brought a sense of peace and fulfillment to my daily routine.
Taking Action for Real Change
Dreaming big is only the first step. Coaching has propelled me from daydreaming to doing. It's about setting those wheels in motion and seeing tangible progress in your personal development journey. Each action taken is a stepping stone to a version of yourself you've always aspired to be.
Gaining Insights and New Perspectives
Sometimes, we're too close to our own stories to see the plot twists. Coaching offers an outside perspective that can reveal insights about ourselves we've overlooked. Understanding my motivations, fears, and unconscious patterns has been like putting on a new pair of glasses — everything looks clearer and more connected.
The Magic of Accountability
There's something about knowing someone is rooting for you and waiting to hear about your progress that turbocharges your motivation. Coaching has held me accountable, not in a looming way, but in a "I can't wait to share my wins" kind of way. This accountability has been a catalyst for faster results and more consistent growth.
Leveraging Your Innate Strengths
One of the most empowering aspects of coaching is the discovery and utilization of your inherent strengths. It's about playing to your advantages and using the resources at your disposal more effectively. Coaching has taught me to see these strengths not just as tools, but as gifts to be nurtured and celebrated.
Wrapping It Up
Embarking on a coaching journey has been one of the most transformative decisions of my life. It's not just about achieving goals or ticking boxes; it's about unlocking your potential, embracing growth, and finding joy in the journey. If you've been on the fence about coaching, I hope my experience sheds some light on the profound impact it can have on your life.
Here's to growing, learning, and becoming our best selves — together. Cheers!

Uncovering Your Purpose: The Power of the 7 Levels Deep Execise

3/7/2024

In the pursuit of a fulfilling life, discovering our purpose is often considered the key to unlocking our true potential. We've all heard the adage that the two most important days in our lives are the day we were born and the day we find out why. But uncovering our "why" can be more challenging than it seems at first glance. That's where the 7 levels deep exercise comes in—a powerful tool designed to help us unearth our deepest motivations and understand what truly drives us.

At its core, the 7 levels deep exercise is a journey of self-inquiry. It involves repeatedly asking ourselves "why" in order to peel back the layers of our motivations until we reach a profound understanding of our purpose. Each iteration takes us deeper into our subconscious, revealing insights that may have been hidden beneath the surface.
So, how does it work? Let's break it down:

1.    Start with a Goal or Aspiration: Begin by identifying a goal or aspiration that you're working towards. This could be anything from starting a business to improving your health or fostering better relationships.

2.    Ask Yourself "Why?": Once you've identified your goal, ask yourself why it's important to you. What drives your desire to achieve this particular outcome? Be honest and introspective in your response.

3.    Repeat the Process: With each answer you provide, dig deeper by asking "why" again. Keep probing until you've reached at least seven levels deep. This may require persistence and self-reflection, but it's essential for uncovering your true motivations.

4.    Reflect on Your Insights: Once you've completed the exercise, take some time to reflect on your answers. What patterns or themes emerge? How do your motivations align with your core values and beliefs? Pay attention to any emotional responses that arise during this reflection process.

5.    Align Your Actions with Your Purpose: Armed with a deeper understanding of your "why," consider how you can align your actions and goals with your newfound insights. This clarity can serve as a guiding light on your journey, helping you stay focused and motivated even in the face of obstacles.

6.    Repeat as Needed: Remember that discovering your purpose is an ongoing journey. As you evolve and grow, your motivations may shift. Revisiting the 7 levels deep exercise periodically can help you stay connected to your sense of purpose and adapt as needed.

In conclusion, the 7 levels deep exercise is a powerful tool for uncovering your purpose and understanding what truly drives you. By delving beneath the surface and exploring your motivations on a deeper level, you can gain invaluable insights that guide your actions and decisions in life. So, take the time to embark on this journey of self-discovery—you may just find that your true purpose has been within you all along.
