Rubicon Coaching
Taking you to the next level

To "cross the Rubicon" is an idiomatic expression that refers to making a crucial and irrevocable decision or taking a decisive action that commits someone to a particular course of action. It originated from a historical event when Julius Caesar, a Roman general, crossed the Rubicon River in 49 BC with his army, defying the Roman Senate's orders not to bring armed forces into Rome. This act marked the point of no return, as it initiated a civil war and ultimately led to Caesar's rise to power in ancient Rome. The phrase "crossing the Rubicon" for Rubicon Coaching means going where you haven't gone before and going to where you want to go without looking back.

If you're ready to be, do and have everything you want in business and life, Rubicon Coaching can help you.

Reframe One Moment

Not every day in the mortgage business feels good. A deal falls apart, a client ghosts you, an appraisal comes in low, or a referral doesn’t convert. Trying to force positivity in those moments usually feels fake—and unhelpful.
When something goes wrong, your brain naturally fixates on it. That’s normal. Reframing isn’t about ignoring frustration or pretending the issue didn’t matter. It’s about widening the frame just enough to find something useful. You’re not being asked to be grateful for the problem—only to ask what it reveals about your process, communication, or expectations.
How you interpret these moments determines how long they stay with you. When you identify one constructive takeaway, you regain control. You move from feeling stuck in the setback to learning from it—maybe it clarifies how you pre-qualify, how you set expectations upfront, or who you choose to work with. Over time, this habit builds resilience. Instead of reacting emotionally, you become steadier, more confident, and more intentional.
Today, pick one moment that felt frustrating or disappointing in your pipeline. Write it down in one sentence. Then write one more sentence answering this question: What does this situation teach me or clarify about how I want to operate going forward? Keep it practical. Keep it honest. Don’t force optimism—one useful insight is enough.
